I must admit that this weeks theme left me a bit clueless, but hey what else is new? So i got a norwegian version of ‘Yes we have no bananas’, i just couldn’t resist. The other is more serious, Fiona Apple doing a duet with Johnny Cash ‘Like a bridge over troubled water’, i guess Johnny was really down and out when he did this.

Strawberry Fields Are Forever with this torrent. 50+ versions of the song including all the demos I could find and a seperate file with covers. Some of those are quite true to the original but there’s also some sounding very modern, spanish and downright brilliant. (this last one is the best, even or maybe especially for Beatleshaters. ; )

viel op zich wel mee hoor, dat onderzoek, maar het liep een beetje uit de hand zeg maar. ; )
zat ook aan een aparte post te denken maar eerlijk gezegd ben ik ook niet geheel overtuigd van de zuig/heers verhouding in deze.
