A little while ago Braad Spitt, *–* and me, myself and I were talking about music of course. Don’t know the exact reason by now, but Braad dropped this Klaus Wunderlich tune in the chat. From that moment on I asked myself which artist used a sample from it. I knew it was in my collection and just a few minutes ago it occurred to me. Yeeeeeehaa, finally! Things like this are killing. Here it is: Dutch rapper Extince with ‘Zoete Inval’.

Braad suggests in the comments that Extince only pitched Howie B’s sample a little. Here it is, decide yourself.

Ghehe, zoiets laat je niet los idd. En ga dan maar eens zoeken tussen al je CD’s en LP’s als je niet eens een idee hebt of het om rock, soul, rap whatever gaat, alleen dat je zeker weet dat je het hebt. Om gek van te worden.

had het maar gewoon gevraagd!
Maar ik vermoed trouwens dat Extince de sample zoals Howie B ‘m al eerder gebruikte iets heeft opgepitcht (niet in begin van het nummer, ietsje verder).

Hoei! nog meer! het is ook wel een heersende riff! Overigens kende ik de Howie B versie als eerste en daarna pas het originele Klaus Wunderlich nummer.
Dat dingetje van dat Bonobo is me wel een ontzettend derderangs fantasieloos prutswerkje zeg.. beetje hopeloos hoe ie zo’n standaard D’n'B beat erin probeert te frutten, zelfs in 1998.
