Alert! Alert!

Dutch Model Of The Week

PatriciaI’d like to continue with this weeks model Patricia.

Patricia, who is heavily exposed on Alertfoto.nl, is again, an one of a kind model. She is a big fan of the 80’s as she shows it in her pictures. With a exploding vulcano on her head combined with nearly fluorescent make-up, she would have fit perfectly in the first reclamefolder from the Wibra back in 1982.

Enjoy Patricia here, here, here, here, here and here

As slap on the fire arrow you can even find pictures from Mo’ here!

Update: Reet discovered some extreme high-res pics of Patricia.

Update:
Alertfoto.nl took the links away. Not even a bandwidthsteal script. No, they deleted them… Why?!

Nada Surf in Tivoli

March 31st, 2006 by Sergeant_Baker

Yesterday Nada Surf played a show in Tivoli, Utrecht. Although I didn’t know the band very well (I accompanied a friend who’s a long time fan), I had a great time. Sound quality was very good, and even though they were with 3, they made quite some noise :-) .

Here’s some more Nada Surf on 3voor12:

Singers & Players - Staggering Heights

March 30th, 2006 by nodog

This is the third album of Singers & Players and though it’s very hard to choose I think this is the one I’d take with me to an onbewoond island if I had to choose one at gunpoint.
Especially Prince Far-I is in excellent form with his gravevoice, chanting about real life stories like his own Autobiography and Bedward the Flying Preacher.
Anyway… if you liked the other albums I’m sure you’ll love this one, and if you haven’t tried any, it’s your loss! ; )

March 30th, 2006 by Mies Bouwman

Chocotofferts:
60 Minutes documentary about North-korean-Children and the nationalistic festival, preview included. Enjoy..?

Star Wreck, 90 minutes of SFI parody.

Joid:
Originally released in 1922 as Nosferatu, Eine Symphonie Des Grauens, director F.W. Munarau’s chilling and eerie adaption of Stoker’s Dracula is a silent masterpiece of terror which to this day is the most striking and frightening portrayal of the legend. Enjoy!

Nodog:
In the meantime, all parts of computerhistory-series “Dream Machine” (check last weeks TV-thursday) are uploaded. Dld @ Torrentspy. Really good stuff, well recommended.
+ a little extra: amazing plants.

Betsy :

The Lenovo Tapes

March 30th, 2006 by Joid

Wikipedia:
Lenovo Group Limited (????????), formerly known as Legend Group Ltd and New Technology Developer Incorporated, is the largest personal computer manufacturer in the People’s Republic of China, and as of 2004 is the third largest in the world, ninth before purchase of IBM’s PC Division.

At Lenovo’s they’re working (secretly?) on some pretty neat stuff. Because:

A. every employee could use a protection shield when he spills his coffee over his laptop, as soon as the coffeelady walks by.

B. every employee could use a holographic copy of hisself when he pulls the coffeelady into the cleaningcloset.

C. every employee could use an anti-destruction device on his laptop, when his wife found those pictures from the coffeelady on his laptop.

Next Level: Art, Games & Reality

March 29th, 2006 by Maks

(Press release)
Games not only reflect elements of daily life, but also influence it. In addition, digital games unite multiple disciplines such as film, photography, theatre and architecture. The medium appears to have begun an unstoppable advance, and forces – or tempts – us to a redefinition of our everyday environment. In its exhibition ‘Next Level’, the Stedelijk Museum shows work by artists and designers who make the vocabulary of games their own, and provide us with their personal reflection on it.
‘Next Level: Art, Games & Reality’ runs through June 18, 2006, in Stedelijk Museum CS.

Check it out humble visitor. It kinda rocks!

Bruce Springsteen - Live at the Hammersmith Odeon (London, 1975)

March 29th, 2006 by Sergeant_Baker

BruceOn their first european tour, Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band played at the Hammersmith Odeon, London, on November 18, 1975. The whole show had been recorded on video and audio (24 track), and the original tapes were almost forgotten. To celebrate the 30th anniversary of the release of Springsteen pinnacle third record, “Born to Run”, the old audio tapes of the legendary London show were dusted off and mixed by Bob Clearmountain. On top of that, the video recordings were digitally restored, and the whole two hour show of that evening was added as a DVD. Miraculously, it ended up somewhere on the Internet, and guess what. I found it.

So here you go, Bruce Spingsteen, live at the Hammersmith Odeon, on Demonoid Isohunt.

As a bonus, here’s the audio (mp3, 320 KBPS) of the same show, on Demonoid.

Here’s a teaser (mp3).
