Operation Ivy

March 19th, 2006 by InvertedPantsMan

Operation Ivy is one of the lesser known punk bands to come out of San Francico in the late 80’s. The fact that they only existed for two years didn’t help much in that department I guess. Their curious name comes from a series of nuclear tests. (those rare punkers nevertheless) Some of you might recognise guitarist/vocalist Tim Armstrong from a better known band from that same corner. Although very short lived the band is considered legendary by many.

The music can be described as raw and honest punkrock spiked here and there with some nice up tempo ska. Operation Ivy managed to record 27 tunes, not counting bootleg material. I’ve put these track all in one file for your listening convienience. If you’re into well written critical lyrics be sure to tjek dis aut.
