Sundaynight Rock ‘n’ Roll part6 - Zodiac Mindwarp & The Love Reaction

For the last couple of posts I have been going back in time further and further… Now it’s time to zap back to the second half of the eighties. In Holland cable television introduced us to Sky and Super Channel, no MTV yet. Zodiac Mindwarp was hugely hyped on these British channels.. Musically this is most definately not the strongest in this series. But the connections that this band has makes it interesting enough to post.

Let’s start off: Zodiac Mindwarp’s real name is Mark Manning. He went to art college together with Bill Drummond, one Half of The The K Foundation. I guess alarm bells should start to ring right now! The KLF connection does not stop here! Jimmy Cauty was a member of the Love Reaction for a short while… under the pseudonym ‘Trash D Garbage’. And yes… this is the SAME Trash that co-founded The Orb with Alex Patterson.

Well back to Zodiac Mindwarp… It’s really standard no brainer hard rock, produced in a typical 80’s style clinical way.. so don’t blame me!!!

The band seems to be alive still… scary! Don’t forget to watch this excellent documentary on The K Foundation that Nodog presented to us in this topic.
