Iggy started an old fashioned riot together with some naked members of the audience (screw security and all your bloody backstage passes, “Invade the stage!!!”), Muse played one of the best live sets I’ve ever seen (including an amazing lightshow, although they could have left out the corny ’spinning earth’ animation…) and there was no bloody rain! This was, my fellow music lovers, a very, very good second day at pinkpop. (Next to that, I finally got to meet JayJay’s sister!)

There’s only one week of k00rs left in the 90th Giro d’Italia and still no decision has been made which of i campione del ciclismo will carry the maglia rosa as this year’s vincitore. So, to keep my promise made at the previous Weekend Movie, it’s time to feature the most renowned representative of Italian Neorealism: Ladri di Biciclette (1948), or Bicycle Thieves, which nicely translates into Dutch as vieze vuile smerige klootzakken.

There is tumult in the most beautiful city @ the Rhein, dear fellow Ochers. Arnhem has to go to the voicesheds on the 6th of june for a preferendum. Of course each Ocher knows what a preferendum inholds, but for the ignorants; its a referendum with more then 2 choices. It comes from the English word preference. And alle Arnhemmers have to choose between 3 different variants for a new to build harbor: Short, Long or Sluice.

Yes peoples, it is that time of the year again: pinkpop 2007 is about to start. Yours truly is now stuck in a hotel in Landgraaf, listening to heavy thunderstorms passing over, wondering how Jan Smeets is feeling. Your personal reporter will be present throughout the festival and will try to get you some nice (backstage) pics. Let’s start of with this collection, which is mainly about the Oxfam Novib tent, since there weren’t any artists yet.
