What started out as a torture device invented for the US army turned out to be an interesting application for horn instruments, mostly used in jazz in the 60’s & 70’s. Saxophonists played with these electronics with mixed results, but other horn players didn’t use the technology.

ho wacht even: dat vraag ik me dus ook af. Wat is nou precies bedoeld om te martelen? de neger, de toeter of de knoppenmasjien?
