How About Some Haardcore?
June 23rd, 2008 by gast!
Back in the early 90’s I was a true bonehead and loved to do my portion of hakken. Like a lot of my “gabbers” I also attempted to master the techniques of DJ’ing, alas not to much succes. However, I did buy some mighty vinyl records, from different labels.
One of my favourite labels was Mokum Records, founded as an Amsterdam response to Rotterdam Records in 1993, as a sub-label of Boudisque Records. About a month ago beneger kindly helped me out when I needed to digitalise two vinyl albums for a friend, and I took advantage of the opportunity and also digitalised some nice Mokum tracks, from MOK4 and MOK5, to be exact. Sundayeveningzanger: Sjef Hoelenpapers
June 22nd, 2008 by ThE_ED
Sjef likes to fry stuff, and while doing so he loves to sing. And he loves to sing about his favourite subject. Yes, you know it, it’s me, your Ed, and as I’ve seen that Och hasn’t seen that much updates lately I thought I’d share a bit about one of Hollands finest artists alive; Sjef Hoelenpapers. (Annoying popupad alert) And now being Sunday evening, I’ve thought about providing you with something to do. Sjef has his own Frikanlullen game!; nice to play with your family around the table, for example with some mini-friet, peanuts and ranja with it. You can listen to some of the finest of Dutch folklore songs at Sjef’s Myspace page here.
