Ofcourse Rams will find this a “mindere post”, but what do we care? It’s about Science baby! Einstein has been “proven right” by an effort of French, German and Hungarian physicists. (Those Hungarians!) They have calculated how the mass in protons and neutrons is made up. The building blocks of these particles (gluons and quarks) only encompass 5% of the mass, the rest is the energy in the interaction of these. So please go ahead with converting all your energy in some mass, preferably somthing that our economy can use.

Heel simpel gast, Einstein stelde al dat massa gelijk is aan energie, en dat is nu aangetoond. Men heeft namelijk gemeten dat één proton meer massa heeft dan de bouwstenen van één proton samen hebben, en wel zo’n twintig keer meer. Dus is er extra massa in een proton, en die massa bestaat uit de energie waarmee de bouwstenen aan elkaar zitten geplakt. En dat hebben deze schetenwappers dus wiskundig onderbouwd.
