Fur TV

April 20th, 2008 by ThE_ED

Fur TV is a television series with puppets. (As far as you can call 1 pilot a series.) In it, puppets live happily together with humans in their lovely town. The main characters are a ladies-man, a brute-force man of little words and a weirdo with an obsession for spanking the monkey. Also featuring a couple that may be the first gay-puppet couple on television. Maybe it was a bit too much for the viewers because after the pilot, no more episodes were made. Until recently when MTV bought the series and they’re going to air it quite soon. (Prolly not in klompenland though)

This is also a great opportunity to improve your black metal kvlt skills as the episode for which you can do the demonoid is subtitled in Norwegian.

“Masmedia wedt dat het kan”

March 26th, 2008 by ThE_ED

Karaoke / Cold Lazarus

March 5th, 2008 by farquaad

A few weeks ago i caught a glimpse of Deep Blue Sea, a not so special movie with some fishies. But Saffron Burrows is the one fighting off the sharks. And it is she who always makes me remember a duo of 90’s televivision series: Karaoke and Cold Lazarus.

Albert Finney in KaraokeBoth Karaoke and Cold Lazarus are written by Dennis Potter who is best known for writing The Singing Detective. BBC and Channel 4 co-produced and broadcasted the series. A unique situation, as requested by Potter before his death.

As a side effect of this situation, copyrights ownership is now totaly unclear. That means no dvd. Lucky for us, there is the internets. Tune in after the break.

Dexter 2

October 21st, 2007 by *--*

Well, we are all updated and well by now, I think… Time to blog one of the things I’ve been watching lately. Dexter is an amazing series about a forensic investigator for the Miami police (blood spatter expert actually) who happens to be a serial killer in his spare time. Forget about weak shit like CSI and series like that. The series has just started on its second season and I will just finish off now by handing you guys and gals this link. And this link. Go see it!!

Riget/The Kingdom part 1

June 20th, 2007 by *--*

ondskap!I was first planning to exhume the rotting corpse of Ochblog’s TV Thursday for this. But I decided against it.. I’ll leave it resting in peace.

That is not what can be said of the spirits inhabiting the neurosurgery ward of Riget Hospital in Lars Von Trier’s Series “Riget/The Kingdom“. Very strange series enjoyable especially for those that love weird concoctions of humor, horror, thriller, gore and hospital sit-coms. Maybe also noteworthy to mention is that it is especially recommended for people that enjoyed David Lynch’s “Twin Peaks”.

Stephan King made an american version of “The Kingdom” a few years ago. I have not seen that one but my gut feeling screams ‘Stay Away!‘.

Anyway, season one of the genuine article can be found here.

Season 2 will follow very soon!

Britten V-1000

Coming pinxter monday i will be riding the Elfstedentocht. I won’t be skating the ice between the eleven Friesian cities however. And i’ll leave my bicycle at home. I am going to ride this tocht der tochten on a motorcycle. It’s supposed to be one big traffic jam, but there’s only one way to find out.

While I will be destroying a perfectly good clutch, you guys might take the time to check out some motorcycle history.
